On Monday, May 18th Time Out New York held a party at the Gallery at Dream Downtown to celebrate the top ten finalists in the Best Bartender Competition.

Oh what a party it was!  Four hundred guests were in attendance and were able to taste four different cocktails from this year’s winner, Anthony Loporto of Bean Post Pub.  It’s located in Bay Ridge but once you arrive and have a taste of Anthony’s Ancho Reyes Fuego Margarita you will soon realize it was worth the schlep.

Attendees were also able  to sample cocktails by 6 of the top contenders.
Participating bartenders at the event included Derrick Turner (Harding’s), Maura McGuigan (BKB), Darnell Holguin (Bathtub Gin), Moses Laboy (Botham Bar and Grill), Joshua Brandenburg (Forty Four at Royalton New York) and Davina Thomasula (Park Bar)

Hor D’oeuvres were served as well as delicious sweet treats from Carly’s Better Bites.

All in all it was a fabulous start to the week.
