On November 19th the 6th Annual Holiday Spirits Bazaar went down at the Bowery Hotel. The lovely Selena Writes of The Dizzy Fizz was the evenings host.
The moment I stepped foot inside the holiday joy took over my body. I was surrounded by beautiful bowls full of punch and holiday cocktails. I had to snap out of my trance as there was a choice to be made. Where will I start? Which will be my first cocktail amongst the 22 exhibitors? I decided to go with the one closest to me, Don Q’s rum punch. Don Q later went on to win the People’s Choice award.

1.5oz Indigenous Apple Vodka
2 dashes Bitter Frost
.5oz maple syrup
Cinnamon Whipped Cream garnish
Warm 1 gallon apple cider, add 1 tsp of pumpkin spice mix, and move to carafe. Ina 10ox hot cup add vodka bitters, and maple syrup, fill the rest with hot cider.
Cinnamon Whipped Cream – Whip heave cream with confectioners sugar, maple syrup and cinnamon.
With so many delicious libations to sip on I needed to have food to soak it up. I headed straight to Mable’s Smokehouse table for brisket, sliders, beans, coleslaw and potato salad. It was indeed some finger licking good bbq. When in Williamsburg, Brooklyn do check them out!
By the end of the night DJ Tomas Delos Reyes had the dance floor on fire with his beats. All in all this was one festive and fun spirit event. It would be hard to believe anyone walked away without a smile on their face.
