Move over Hot Dog eating contests, Giant Pretzels are taking over! In celebration of “National Pretzel Day” on April 26th,Studio Kraut Bohemian Bar & Kitchen (160 8th Avenue) is throwing their First Annual Summer Giant Pretzel Eating Contest with Prop & Peller Pretzels and Coney Island Brewery. The contestant who devours the most whole Giant Pretzels will take home a $500 Cash Prize and bragging rights as the 2016 Champion!
Contestants will have 10-Minutes to go head-to-head eat as many of Studio Kraut’s signature Giant Pretzel’s as possible. Of course, they will have access to unlimited water to wash it down and one 16-oz Coney Island Brewery Beer.
If you want to join in but aren’t feeling the urger to be competitive eater, Studio Kraut will be giving half-off their Giant Pretzels ($6) and there will be Coney Island Beer specials throughout the event that kicks-off at 7:30PM.
There is no fee to enter, but potential contestants must be over 21 years old and can either email or sign up here.
