My friends and I decided to go on a one day getaway out of the city. Our destination was North Fork, Long Island.
1st stop was Lavender By The Bay in East Marion. It’s a beautiful 17 acre lavender farm where you can walk through the fields and experience lavender in tis most natural form. It was such a beautiful and relaxing time. Definitely not a shortage of Instagramable photos!
French lavender is currently in bloom. The fields get smaller as they cut them so I’d go asap! Entry is only via pre purchased tickets.

2nd stop was Croteaux Vineyards. The only vineyard in the United States dedicated exclusively to making dry, fresh, fruity, rosé wines.
We arrived around 3p on a Saturday and the place was fully packed. With that said our wait to be seated was only 30 minutes for a group of five. Not bad at all. The table set up with views of the vineyard were quite dreamy.
We ordered the Still Rose Flight ($25) and the Sparkling Rose Flight ($20), along with a few light bites. The service was exceptional! We all stated it’s a must spot to come back to!
My personal favs were Sparkling Chloe Sauv Blanc & Merlot Sauvage.

3rd stop was Hellenic Snack Bar & Restaurant. The family owned restaurant serves Greek and American Cuisine made almost entirely from scratch, using natural ingredients. They are well known for their homemade hand-squeezed lemonade. We all went for the adult version, Danger-ade (lemonade with fresh raspberry infused New Amsterdam Vodka). It was dangerous alright!! Super refreshing. For my main I went with the Horiatiki Salata with chicken souvlaki, a big country style Greek salad. The ingredients were fresh and full of flavor.
